Qazi giving up MMA presidency
 Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said he wants to relinquish his position as president of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Geo television reported on Thursday. The channel said that Ahmad told a press conference in Nowshera that he would formally ask the MMA Supreme Council to relieve him of the post at a meeting scheduled for January 11.
