Iraqi security official escapes assassination attempt
 (KUNA) -- A major general of the Iraqi police escaped death on Saturday when a booby-trapped car blew up killing one citizen and injuring six others including two security men. The booby-trapped car blew up when the major general's motorcade passed by, the police told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). The explosion, that occurred close to a gas station in the district of Al-Karradah in central Baghdad, caused extensive damage to a number of civilian cars.Posted by: Fred 2007-01-07 |
