5 LJ militants arrested
 The Lahore police on Sunday announced that it had arrested five militants of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ) including one carrying head money of Rs 1 million. Sadar SP Umar Virk said the police had arrested the five militants including Rizwan for whom the Punjab and Sindh governments had put a bounty of Rs 500,000 each from Sattukatla area. He said that Rizwan had taken charge of the LJ after Akram Lahoris arrest. The names of Rizwans accomplices are Ziauddin, Alam, Abdul Sattar alias Riaz and Amjad alias Kala, he added. Virk said the militants had confessed to committing several terrorism incidents in Sindh and Punjab and the police had seized a large number of weapons from their possession.
