'Certain madrassas training militants'
President General Pervez Musharraf said on Saturday that certain madrassas were involved in training militants and would have to be stopped, since they were bringing the name of the region into disrepute. Addressing a gathering at Public Accounts Committee Chairman Malik Allah Yar Khans residence in Khunda, Pindi Gheb, Musharraf said, We (will) have to check this menace through internal unity, while warning all foreigners in FATA to leave Pakistan. He said there was no place for extremism, terrorism and sectarianism in Pakistan, and the country faced no external danger. He said the government was following a comprehensive strategy to transfer the benefits of economic development to the masses, alleviate poverty, check inflation and provide employment opportunities.
