Two Belgian peacekeepers killed in Lebanon accident
KFAR SHUBA, Lebanon - Two Belgian peacekeepers were killed on Wednesday and two injured in a road accident in southern Lebanon, a spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said. According to preliminary information, two members of the Belgian battalion were killed and two others were seriously injured in a vehicle accident which took place in the general area of Kfarshuba, Liam McDowall said. He declined to provide further details.An AFP correspondent on the scene said the peacekeepers vehicle fell into a ravine on a road linking the villages of Kfar Shuba and nearby Shebaa.
