Pakistan and Afghanistan hold first round of jirga talks
 Pakistan and Afghanistan on Monday concluded the first round of their two-day talks to convene traditional tribal jirgas to formulate a joint strategy to deal with the issue of militancy in the border areas. The meeting between senior officials from the two states was held in a cordial atmosphere and both jirga commissions explained their points of view, according to a statement of the Interior Ministry.
