Bombs wound policeman in southern Thailand
Two bombs exploded in violence-plagued Narathiwat province, wounding a border patrol police officer on Thursday, but the defence minister insisted that the government's policies are beginning to give fruitful results. Pol Sgt-Maj Akkadej Uabsam-ang was wounded when he and five other police officers were patrolling an area in Su-ngai Padi district. The second bomb exploded almost simultaneously in Aiyapong village in the same district as six soldiers were patrolling the area. No one was wounded in the second blast. Posted by: ryuge 2007-03-22 |
