Belgium: FM Compliments Palestine
 Belgium became the latest Western nation to show cooperation with the new Palestinian government by complementing its moderate position compared to its Hamas predecessor March 23. The statements were made shortly following a meeting between Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht and Palestinian Foreign Minister Ziad Abu Amr in which De Gucht urged the new government to halt violence, bring Palestinian security forces under one rule and secure the release of a captured Israeli soldier.Posted by: Fred 2007-03-24 |
