ETA terrorists surprised during target practice
Forest rangers heard gunfire and initially thought they were hunters who were breaking local regulations. But when they found an abandoned car full of ammunition, they realised it was something more sinister. In fact it was a stolen car fitted with false number plates. However, police failed to find the ETA suspects. They appear to have been practising with automatic pistols. A security source said it appeared ETA had carried on stealing cars.
