Canadian troops move into Helmand
 Canadian troops are rolling into Helmand province in southern Afghanistan as part of NATO's push to eliminate the Taliban in the area. The alliance is calling the action Operation Silver. Troops of the Royal Canadian Regiment battle group are moving west to support British and Afghan units fighting insurgents in the Sangin Valley.Maj. Alex Ruff, commander of the Canadian armoured task force, says his troops are being held in reserve. So far, there are no plans for the Canadians to be rushed into combat.
