Johnston 'Alive' Palestinian Leaders Tell Euro MPs
 (AKI) - Kidnapped BBC journalist Alan Johnston - who was abducted on 12 March in Gaza - is alive, Palestinian deputy leader Azzam al-Ahmad told a 12-member delegation of MEPs in the West Bank town of Ramallah on Monday. Palestinian security services also know what they must do to secure Johnston's release, Azzam told the MEPs. BBC correspondents held a rally in central Cairo, Egypt, on Monday demanding the release of their colleague.London colleagues and friends of Johnston on Monday also held a vigil outside BBC headquarters in West London, where they released 50 white balloons to symbolise what will be on Tuesday the 50 days he has been held hostage.
