Alan Dershowitz Threatens to Sue UK Academics
Celebrated Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz has threatened to sue British academics who participate in a UK boycott against Israeli universities. A decision by Britains University and College Union to condemn complicity of Israeli academia in the occupation of Palestinian land has prompted Professor Dershowitz to start work on a lawsuit against those who support the boycott. The American Jewish attorney said in an interview with the Times Higher Educational Supplement that he would use a U.S. law that bans discrimination on the basis of nationality, against British universities who are involved in joint research and other projects with American institutions. I will obtain legislation dealing with this issue, imposing sanctions that will devastate and bankrupt those who seek to impose bankruptcy on Israeli academics, vowed Prof. Dershowitz.
