6 detainees killed in attack on U.S.-run prison in S Iraq
(Xinhua) -- Six civilian detainees were killed and at least 50 wounded in rocket or mortar attack on a U.S.-run detention facility on Saturday in southern Iraq, the military said. The six were killed when the Multi-National Force-Iraq Theater Internment Facility at Camp Bucca near the city of Basra was attacked by "indirect fire," which usually refers to rocket or mortar attack, according to a brief statement.
