Somalia: Former defense minister wounded
 (SomaliNet) Former defense minister of Somalia and a member of the parliament Barre Aden Shire Hirale has been wounded in a bomb explosion aimed to kill him, local official said on Wednesday. A roadside bomb hit his convoy as he was driving near Bardhere town in Gedo region. Bare Hirale escaped an assassination attempt on his life, according to Mohamed Abdikarim, a local official. He was taken to a local hospital where he is now being treated. No group has claimed the responsibility of the bomb attack.
