Islamic Jihad leader arrested
THE Israeli army early Wednesday arrested the head of the Palestinian radical movement Islamic Jihad for the West Bank, a Palestinian security source said. Bassam Saadi, 42, was arrested in Jenin refugee camp in the north of the West Bank. He was picked up by Israeli soldiers who moved in in some 20 jeeps backed up by Apache helicopters.
