Headless corpse of 'US spy' found in N Waziristan
 A headless body was found on Thursday in the Spin Wam area of North Waziristan Agency, said officials. The officials said a letter found close to the body from Taliban stated that this was the body of Afghan national Abdul Qayyum, who used to spy on mujahideen for Americans and was punished for it. The letter said anyone spying for Americans would meet the same fate. Target killing has recently reemerged following the fast changing situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was halted after the North Waziristan peace pact was signed as it was one of the conditions of the peace agreement that there would be no target killings including beheading of people.Posted by: Fred 2007-07-13 |
