Iranian official warns Muslims against extremism
Iran's Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi here Monday regretted that Islam is faced with major threats posed as a result of extremism adopted by certain groups and malevolent propaganda by arrogant powers and enemies.Addressing a group of Indonesian ulema, he called for unity and solidarity of Islamic groups under the leadership of ulema and clerics in order to thwart such Conspiracies. He further regretted that enemies of Islam take advantage of extremism adopted by certain groups which attribute themselves to genuine Islam.
