Loyalist feuding wounds officer in Northern Ireland
Police have said the shooting of an officer in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, during trouble between rival loyalists was attempted murder. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A civilian was also stabbed and is in hospital.

Three men were arrested under terrorist legislation during the trouble in Castlemara housing project slum estate on Saturday night. Weapons, including CS spray, a crossbow and baseball bats, were also found. The trouble is being linked to UDA feuding.
