'He will be Mr Musharraf, by year end'
Mushahid Hussain, secretary general of the PML, told the Washington Post in an interview published Sunday, I would expect that around New Year Day, youll see General Pervez Musharraf transformed into Mr Pervez Musharraf, with a designer suit rather than the khaki uniform he has worn for the past 43 years. The newspaper further quotes him as saying that recent events have been a chastening experience for the president. General Musharraf has had a good run for eight years. He has been offered another five years - but without absolute authority he once exercised, he added. In some ways, Musharraf is a victim of his own success.
