Iraq truck bomb kills 27
 A truck bomb in northern Iraq flattened homes and killed 27 people today, police said, while Washington expressed growing impatience with a stalled political process that has failed to reconcile sectarian groups. Rescue workers were sifting through rubble in an attempt to find survivors from the attack in the town of Tal Afar, near the Syrian border.
