Former village leader killed in southern Thailand
Insurgents shot dead a former village headman in Narathiwat on Friday morning, taking his gun with them, police said. Win Wangthong, 71, was attacked when he was riding a motorcycle to a tea shop at around 6.30am in Tak Bai district.Police said he was followed by two insurgents who were wearing masks.
