Kidnappings, exchanges of gunfire in Bajaur during jirga
In Bajaur tribal agency suspected militants attacked a security checkpost in Charmung area and kidnapped two Levies force personnel. Forces launched an operation for the release of two kidnapped soldiers and arrested 17 tribesmen, said sources. They said forcers and militants traded fire. The latest kidnapping incident has taken place amid a grand tribal Jirga is holding negotiations with militants in South Waziristan tribal agency to secure the release of 250 soldiers, being kidnapped since last 13 days.
