Peshawar police foil bombing attempt
 City Police foiled a terror bid on the first of Ramazan by defusing a bomb in the Kohati Gate area in the Shah Qabool Police Station precincts at around 7:45 pm on Friday. Operations Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohammad Tahir Khan told Daily Times that the bomb weighing about three kg had been placed in the Kohati Chowk area near a reading room and was defused by the bomb disposal squad (BDS) officials. He said it was a sophisticated device and could be detonated by a remote control or a mobile device.
