ATC sends suicide attack accused to jail
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) sent two men accused of involvement in a suicide attack on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Saturday. Muhammad Usman and Maulvi Mohammad Imtiaz allegedly involved in the July 30, 2004, attack in Attock, have been in police custody. They are to be presented before the court on November 2.

Also, former Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz’s lawyer filed an application in the ATC seeking medical treatment for his client, who he said had been suffering from typhoid fever for the last two weeks and had received no treatment. The court directed that Maulana Aziz be shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment.
