U.S. sailors shot dead in Bahrain
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) -- Two U.S. sailors were killed and one was critically wounded in a shooting inside their barracks early Monday at a U.S. Navy's base in Bahrain, the Navy said.The shootings took place in the barracks on the U.S. Naval Support Activity Bahrain base around 5 a.m. local time, the Navy said in a statement, according to The Associated Press. There was no information on what caused the shootings, or if they were terror-related. The two sailors pronounced dead at the scene, and the third was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the statement said. The base was closed for an hour after the incident.
