PKK offers conditional ceasefire
 The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has offered a conditional truce to Turkey as Ankara is preparing for a military action. The PKK announced on Monday that it is ready to observe a ceasefire if the Turkish army ends attacks on the militants' positions, abandons plans for cross-border raids and 'looks for peace'. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani earlier on Monday predicted that PKK rebels are to offer a ceasefire. Turkey has yet to react to the announcement.
