Shia-Sunni festivities leave 30 dead in Parachinar
PARACHINAR: At least 30 people were reported killed and another 130 wounded in sectarian festivities violence in Parachinar city of Kurram Agency on Saturday, locals and hospital sources said.

"Make that seven personnel!" | Fighting between the Sunni and Shia sects erupted after unidentified militants hurled a hand-grenade at the central mosque in Parachinar, where hundreds of Sunnis were offering Friday prayers.

Abid Hussain, a leader of Parachinars Shiite community accused Sunni militants from nearby towns of starting the violence by firing rockets at their homes and mosques.
Hospital sources told Daily Times that around 80 people with bullet injuries had been admitted to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Parachinar since the breaking out of hostilities on Friday afternoon.
