Peace activist wounded in Mogadishu
(SomaliNet)The head of Elman Peace and Human Rights organization said on Wednesday he had wounded in car accident which was an attempt on his life on Tuesday – as prominent peace activist woman, Madina Jeneral was killed in Mogadishu last week.
Mog isn't the most, well, peaceful place for an activist right now.
Speaking to the local reporters in Mogadishu, Engineer Sudan Ali Ahmed said he broke one of his leg after a group of men with a car deliberately targeted him and hit their vehicle with his motorcycle as he was driving near KM4 roundabout. “I came out from Nasa-Hablood hotel where I had held a news conference which I raised about a rape on eight-year old girl and the closure of Elman human rights center, then a car which I suspected hit my motorcycle directly and I had broken my leg,” said Sudan Ali. “I don’t know those who were behind such brutal act aimed to kill my life,”
Nope, no clue, couldn't be any of the crazed killer Islamic Court hard boyz, nope. Must be them Esquimaux ...
Mr. Ali ruled out that it was an accident and insisted that it was an attempt on his life but survived. “Investigations are now under way over who was responsible for the attack,” he added.
