Beirut boom kills senior Lebanon army officer
Lebanon's national news agency says a large explosion rocked a Christian suburb east of Beirut early Wednesday morning, killing four people, including a senior army officer, and injuring dozens.The agency says Major General Francois Hajj, head of military operations in the army command, was killed in the explosion along with his bodyguard.
