Two suspects involved in Benazir's assassination shifted to Islamabad
Two people, who were arrested from Dera Ismail Khan for their alleged involvement in assassination of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto on December 27, have been shifted to Islamabad for further investigation, reported a private television (ARY One World). More arrests are expected in the light of initial investigation and efforts are being made to trace the contacts of suspects with Baitullah Mehsud.One suspect, Aitezaz Shah,15, belonging to Hazara division of NWPF, has confessed his involvement in the plan of BBs assassination at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, the report said. One of the two arrested suspects has said that his next target was US Consulate General in Karachi, the report added. According to preliminary investigation, the arrested suspects have no link with the October 18s Karsaz incident in Karachi. However, the report quoting Interior Ministry sources said that some arrests have also taken place in connection with the October 18 incident, which would lead to more arrests.
