Pakistan arrests French reporters
Two French journalists have been arrested in Pakistan for travelling without permission to the city of Quetta, close to the Afghan border. Journalists are not allowed to visit the area without an official escort.
Yeah, whereâs their Taliban guide?
The authorities say the two men spent several days in the city, and are in breach of Pakistanâs foreignersâ act. Marc Epstein and Jean-Paul Guilloteau of LâExpress magazine were remanded until 24 December. The arrest of foreign reporters in Pakistan is rare.
Killing foreign reporters is another matter.
