2 murder accused win election to NWFP Assembly
Two candidates, accused of murder, have been elected to the NWFP Assembly. Murder cases were registered against the two men before the elections.
Awami National Partys (ANP) Bashir Ahmad Bilour was charged in a murder case in the first information report (FIR) after a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker Abdul Wahab died in an exchange of fire between the workers of ANP and PPP. As a result of shooting, a bystander woman died, while PPPs worker Abdul Wahab was injured. Later, Wahab died at the hospital. The incident took place in the first week of December, 2007, when workers of both the parties candidates, were dispatching posters of their candidates in Shah Qabool area of the city.
