Top militant escapes helicopter attack
A senior militant commander escaped a helicopter gunship strike,

while his daughter and another girl were injured when the helicopters pounded a house in Mattas Piochar area on Monday, locals said.

The strike was executed on intelligence reports suggesting the presence of militant commander Lal Din, alias Baray Mian, in the house. Separately, troops conducted a search operation in the Dherai area to arrest commander Idrees, who is among the top 10 lovers aides of Maulana Fazlullah. However, the operation ended without any arrest.
