Somali PM vows to bring back order
Somali Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein has vowed to bring back order to the country and pave the way for talks with the opposition. On a Monday meeting that was held behind the closed doors in south Mogadishu, Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein discussed the current situation in Bakara market and Somali peace process with the country's army officers. They talked about the ways to bring back the people who were displaced from their homes by the government soldiers and the Ethiopians for the fear of insurgencies. It was agreed not to hunt or arrest the leaders of opposition Hawiye clan led by Mohammad Hassan Haad and Ahmed Dirie Ali, the prime minister told the journalists after the meeting. Moreover, he added, it was decided not to send soldiers around the business areas and to stop looters.

The prime minister restated his willingness to negotiate with opposition groups to end a 15-month insurgency against government troops and their Ethiopian military allies.
