Taliban hits US chopper in Afghanistan
The Taliban claim they have brought down a helicopter belonging to US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan's eastern province of Kunar. Taliban spokesman Zabihollah Mojahid told a Press TV correspondent on Monday that the helicopter went down near the town of Sarkaneh, adding that all the passengers on board had been killed. Mojahid also said Taliban insurgents attacked a coalition tank in Hossein Khail region in Paktia province on Monday morning. Nine US troops were killed in the attack.
