First Electric Generation station to use the oilplant (Jatropha) to be constructed in Belgium

The project will be operational for up to 8,000 hours per year (non leap years have 8760 hours), generating 6MWth of heat for two industrial partners, and 9MWe of electricity for the equivalent of 20,000 households. The project...is expected to become operational in February 2009...will run on bio-oil extracted from the seeds of the jatropha plant.
