Palestinian woman burns her mother-in-law to death, police say
Ma'an Exclusive A woman allegedly burned her 72-year-old mother-in-law to death in the West Bank village of Halhul on Saturday, police in the nearby city of Hebron told Ma'an. Police sources said that the 32-year-old woman struck her mother-in-law on the head in the bathroom before pouring kerosene on her, setting her ablaze, and leaving her in the house alone. "After we seized the suspect, she admitted to killing her mother in law after they quarreled as the mother in law attempted to prevent her daughter in law from going out," said the deputy director of Hebron police, Ramadan Awad.Awad said that the woman left the house briefly before returning and killing her mother-in-law.
