NHS Health Warning - Don't Sleep With Your Dogs
 Dogs should not be allowed to sleep in the same room as their owner in case they pass on diseases, one of the country's top vets has warned.Acting Chief Veterinary Officer Fred Landeg urged people to be on the alert about pets because they can "transmit illnesses as easily as farm animals". Among diseases thought to be carried by dogs are common food poisoning bugs such as campylobacter and salmonella as well as exotic diseases.
