11 Taliban killed in clashes, Afghan Defense Ministry says
 The Defense Ministry says clashes and airstrikes in southern Afghanistan have left 11 Taliban militants dead. The ministry says that seven militants have been killed in clashes and airstrikes in the southern Helmand province. It also says another four militants have been killed in a clash in neighboring Kandahar province.In Zabul province, a roadside bomb hit an Afghan army patrol, wounding five soldiers, the ministry said in a statement Monday.
