New Ethics Law Causes 150 Government Resignations
Oregon lawmakers announced Monday they will review state ethics laws after about 150 public officials resigned in recent weeks rather than disclose personal information.The review comes after the Legislature made major ethics law changes last year. Those changes added new requirements for what has to be listed on the Statement of Economic Interest that public officials file each year. The changes also added more than 1,000 elected and appointed officials to those who must file the forms... I wonder how many of those officials names were followed with (D).
