Metaphor alert: there's hogs in the bilges, Skipper!

From The New York Times, here's Roger Cohen, a man who no doubt farms as well as he sails, attempting to dismiss the allegations of biofuel critics: Most of this, to borrow a farm image, is hogwash and bilge. Whose farm? Anyway, get the pigs out of the bass boat and you'll be more convincing, Roger.
