Suicide attack leaves 24 casualties in Baghdad
(VOI) Four Sahwa (Awakening) tribal fighters and two policemen were killed and 18 others wounded when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive motorbike near the headquarters of the leader of al-Tarimiya Sahwa force in northern Baghdad on Monday, police said. "A suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up near the headquarters of the Tarimiya Sahwa council chief in northern Baghdad, killing four Sahwa fighters and two policemen and wounding 18 other Sahwa men," a police source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq Voices of Iraq (VOI).Posted by: Fred 2008-05-27 |
