Police forces arrest a kidnapper, border guard in Karbala
(VOI) - Police forces on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of kidnapping a woman in Karbala, the province police chief said. Transport police patrols arrested a man suspected of abducting a woman in southern Karbala, Brig. Gen. Raid Shakir, Karbala's police chief, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). The police chief noted security forces foiled the kidnapping before the kidnapper forced the woman into the trunk of a blue Opel," adding the suspect was under investigation to uncover the motives behind the kidnapping." Karbala emergency battalions captured a suspect in a forgery and conning operation, Brig. Gen. Shakir also noted. He said the detained was identified as a non-commissioned border guard in Najaf.
