Perv says he will not resign
(Xinhua) -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said on Wednesday that he would not resign and his impeachment was subject to the parliament. Local Dawn TV channel quoted Musharraf as saying that his impeachment is the right of the parliamentarians. Musharraf said if the parliamentarians wish to impeach him, they should do it, reports said. The Pakistan coalition partners have vowed to let Musharraf step down since the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won general elections and formed a new government in March.
