Arctic Ice Pack refusing to melt fast enough
There has been a great deal of speculation about the possibility that the arctic sea ice could, at the worst case, melt entirely, or more realistic, possibly break the record sea ice melt set last year (images follow which show lots of ice in the arctic as of July 12).--------------------- Also, the Ntl Snow&Ice Data Center has a time log which shows that the arctic ice pack melting slowed down the first part of July - there is still some ice cover in Hudson Bay.
