VP calls for establishing development council in Anbar
(VOI) - Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi called to establish a development council in Anbar dedicated to urban development and implementing vital projects. "This came during his meeting with chiefs of al-Boufahd tribe in Anbar province," said a statement released from al-Hashemi's office and received by Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). "The vice president asserted that Anbar residents made great sacrifices and they should be compensated," the statement added.
