Presidential election on September 6
The election for the office of president will be held on September 6, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced on Friday.Candidates will file their nomination papers by 12pm on August 26. The chief election commissioner will scrutinise the nominations on August 28. Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations before noon on August 30, after which a list of candidates will be published at 1pm.
