'Int'l troops killed Afghan district chief'
Afghan police alleged on Thursday that international troops had shot dead an Afghan district governor and two of his men after mistaking them for Taliban. President Hamid Karzai expressed sorrow over the killing, which he called a 'misunderstanding', and said the district chief and another man killed in a Taliban bombing on Thursday had been his close associates. The NATO-led multinational force said it was investigating the shooting late on Wednesday in Uruzgan.
