Man pleads guilty to slashing tires of RNC bus
Prosecutors in Ramsey County have announced the first felony conviction stemming from protest activities during the Republican National Convention.Twenty-six-year-old Joseph Matthew Robinson of Washington state pleaded guilty on Tuesday to first-degree criminal damage to property. The Ramsey County attorney's office says Robinson admitted to slashing the tires of a charter bus for convention delegates that was parked in downtown St. Paul on Sept. 1. Robinson will be sentenced Dec. 12. More than 800 people were arrested during the convention, which was held last month in St. Paul. Posted by: tipper 2008-10-15 |
