Ten-year old Albino murdered in western Tanzania
(SomaliNet) In the latest incident that brings to 26, the total number of albinos murdered in Tanzania this year, a ten-year-old albino girl has been murdered in the western region of Shinyanga. Media reports say the albinos are killed by gangs that then mutilate the corpses and sell the body parts to medicine men. The medicine men believe the body parts will bring them riches and happiness. The murder occurred several hours after a speech by President Jakaya Kikwete in which he called for tougher measures against the murderers.
